Blog

Welcome to the Kennys Bindery Blog

Firstly I would like to introduce myself and give you a little background, my name is Caroline, Gerry’s daughter. My Dad, Gerry founded the bindery in 1974 at the back of his parents house in Salthill, Galway. For as long as I can remember I have always helped out in the bindery - after school, and every school holiday I was there. I began working in the bindery full-time June 2008 and during my time I completed a four year Print Media apprenticeship with DIT Bolton Street in Dublin.

At the moment in the bindery I mainly look after the digital printing and the formatting/designing of books.

With this blog we hope to bring some helpful posts like “What to include in a hen party memory book” along with some crafty ones like “Make your own miniature book“ and behind the scenes posts like “a day in the life of a bookbinder”

If there are any topics you would like to see please do let us know, we would love to hear your suggestions.

Many Thanks, Caroline
